We are a SASS-affiliated club and proud of it! We shoot the 2nd & 4th Saturday and 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month in Lenexa, Kansas (formerly the historic Monticello Township) where a young James B. “Wild Bill” Hickok was our first town marshal. C’mon out and relive the exciting days of the Frontier West by strapping on a pair of six-guns at Hodgdon’s Powder Creek range with the Powder Creek Cowboys

Notice to New Cowboy Action Shooters

All shooters must demonstrate rudimentary familiarity and proficiency with the firearms being used. Our matches are not the forums in which to learn basic firearms handling.

Even if you’re an experienced shooter with other types of firearms, those used in our sport have unique characteristics with which it is essential you become familiar.

If you are new to our sport, or new to our club, please let the rangemaster know. He and the rest of us are there to help. We want everyone to have fun, but most all, have fun SAFELY!
