A Letter from the Town Marshall
To whom it may concern,
Captain Harvey of Uncle Sam’s troops has given orders that I should be sent towards Leavenworth city to see the whereabouts of Captain Dun and Miller’s Company, which was camping. I have ridden night after night without getting out of my saddle. There are no roads, no breaks, no trail, no groves, no crossing, no springs, no parties of any kind between Leavenworth and Lawrence or Lecompton that I don’t know.
Historic Old Shawnee Town Our Indoor , Air-conditioned Banquet Location
Our Banquet venue changed last year and after much favorable feedback we will be returning! We have once again rented out an old favorite of our members and a premier Kansas attraction, Historic Old Shawnee, KS. The Old Shawnee Town Hall is an air-conditioned space located in the heart of the 1929-themed historic area. We will also keep our banquet on Friday night to allow you to get on the road earlier on Saturday afternoon!
We are Planning Some Awesome Awards for The Prince of the Pistoleers 2026!
In addition to buckles for our overall winners, we are developing unique awards for first, second, and third-place finishers and look forward to unveiling them at the event!

A Few Guidelines for the Match
- Applications must be received by May 1. Categories will be finalized on April 1, 2026. After April 1, categories for the match will be final and further applicants will need to register for an existing category. You may be contacted to change categories by the match director should you enter a category which does no qualify for an award. Only categories of three or more women and five or more men will qualify for prizes. These qualifications are subject to change based upon demand and registration prior to April 1. Please contact the match director with any questions.
- SASS rules apply.
- A current SASS membership is required to participate in this event.
- RV parking space must be reserved in advance. RVs will be assigned parking spaces.
- There are no power or water hookups for RVs at the range.
- Range rules require minimum .32 caliber for ALL shooters (no .22s allowed on our range)
